The MidEastern Chapter of the Society of Nuclear Medicine (MECSNM) has over 750 active members representing professionals from West Virgiina, Viginia, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, and Pennsyvania.

MECSNM hosts a number of education activities throughout the year, including Spring and Fall meetings providing technologist, physician and physicist CME credit.

Overall, MECSNM provides a forum for:

• Professional networking
• Staying up to date with current practice guidelines and regulations
• Encouraging and enhancing professional development.
• Monitoring and addressing of nuclear medicine professional issues at the Chapter level.
• Interfacing with the national Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM)

The MECSNM includes an independently governed Technologist Section to which over 450 of its memebers belong. The Fall meeting is devloped and run by the Technologist Section.
